AMAXOPHOBIA

As I sit in a "troski" every time I'm out, I begin to experience this strange yet familiar feeling.
It’s a phobia I’ve had for about 9 years now and - guess what - I found out today that there's a name for it: AMAXOPHOBIA (fear of riding in a car)
I always panic when I have to sit as a passenger in a vehicle; be it a car, a bus, a taxi - in fact anything at all that moves with four tyres!
So I resist from staring at the road. It helps to an extent though but it doesn’t stop me from sensing the rate at which the "trotro" moves
Every time I find myself in a vehicle, I feel trapped and experience all kinds of symptoms: I’m unable to breath, I start to feel dizzy or faint and most often than not, I’m filled with complete terror and a dreadful anticipation of accidents
Needless to say, I desist from going out or even traveling - unless of course I'm out with my dad and my closest friend ( Bebe). It’s because they are the only ones who really understand my phobia.
I keep wondering, do I do the unthinkable by walking home instead after my long day at school or do I have to keep trusting God to grant me travelling mercies ?
I’m in a fix. I really need help. Any tips on how I can overcome this phobia ?

  2. Hmm,. A great dilemma indeed. But I have one question for you are you in charge of your emotions or is this phobia in charge? I have a phobia for depressions.Strange hug... I don't fear heights I love to be on top of the world but depressions, I hate to cross a gutter but I have to because I tell myself He is with me.teach yourself to overcome like I did because you can
